Admissions Procedures
1. Parents can contact Kidzland either
* via the telephone – 02085171311 (managers will take details and then email an interest form)
* email Kidzlandnursery2@live.co.uk- please give child’s name : date of birth : days required : start date : parents name and contact details. Managers will then email an interest form
2. on completion of the interest form and the managers receiving this, the setting will arrange a show around visit of the nursery, please bring your child with you for them to explore the setting. (Parents are to bring identification with them for the visit)
Show around visit- look around Kidzland / see the room your child may be in / meet practitioners from the room / explore the menu / parents are welcome to ask any questions

4. Deposit and registration fee required to secure the space
5. Registration form / contract form to be completed by parents
6. Settling in – 1st session – a meet and greet session. Parents are required to attend. This will be a chance to meet the key person, complete some forms together, and identification documents to be checked for parent and child. This session will also be an opportunity for your child to explore and engage in activities with the key person.
We like to involve the parents in the settling in process, and to support their child in exploring their new surroundings.
1. Settling in second session, the parent will stay for 10-15 minutes, the key person and child will then explore the setting for 30 minutes. This will be an opportunity for the key person and child to build on their relationship and for the key person to explore how the child engages.
2. Settling in third session- the parent will drop the child for an hour, the child will explore their room during the main activity session and snack session.
3. Settling in the fourth session- the child will attend a session where they are able to explore lunch time.
Settling in is very unique to the child, and are adapted to suit each individual child. And will be discussed with the parents on a daily basis. Kidzland aims to make settling in as calm and enjoyable as it can be for the child and parents. Settling in is free of charge. We aim to ensure your journey is positive right from the start, kidzland will support you and your child as they start their journey with us. During settling there will be many forms for you to complete and lots of discussions with the key person. This is an opportunity for us to get to know your child, know their routines, their likes, and dislikes, favourite song/ toy or meal.
Parents checklist for documents – will be required before the child starts the setting
* Child’s full birth certificate
* Child’s Red NHS book
* Parents national insurance number
* Parents photo identification
* Most recent council tax bill (proof of address)
* Any speech and language reports – if your child has attended
* Any portage reports- if your family has a portage worker
Parents checklist for when your child starts the setting
* Nappies and wipes (if required)
* Nappy cream (if required)
* Spare knickers or pants if your child is potty training
* One set of spare clothes – including socks / a short sleeve and a jumper
* Water bottle
* Two blankets (if your child is sleeping at the setting)
